DELF (Diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française) and DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française) are official qualifications awarded by the French Ministry of Education to certify the competency of candidates from outside France in the French language. DELF/DALF are composed of 6 independent diplomas that correspond to the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CECRL).

There is no time limit to the validity of the diplomas. The diplomas are independent and the top levels of the DALF give access to all French universities and to an ever growing number of European and francophone universities, eliminating the need for pre-admission French language tests.

Both the DELF and the DALF diplomas are ideal additions to your resumés as their quality is recognized all over the world, notably by French and European employers.

There are six different levels for Adults (Tout public) and four different levels for children (12 to 18 years).

The Alliance Française Wellington is also able to offer DELF Pro (business-related qualification) and DELF Prim (8 to 12 years of age). For information about the DELF Scolaire, please check the Embassy of France in Wellington website.
