DELF (Diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française) and DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française) are official qualifications awarded by the French Ministry of Education to certify the competency of candidates from outside France in the French language. DELF/DALF are composed of 6 independent diplomas that correspond to the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CECRL).
These certifications are valid for life and recognised around the world. The DELF B2 or DALF diplomas can help you enter French universities and an ever-growing number of European and francophone institutions, often eliminating the need for pre-admission French language tests. All DELF and DALF diplomas are valid for life.
There are six different levels for Adults (DELF Tout public) and four different levels for young people (DELF Junior) for ages 12 to 17.
Alliance Française Wellington is also able to offer DELF Pro (business-related qualification) and DELF Prim (8 to 11 years of age).
For information regarding the DELF Scolaire, please check the Embassy of France in Wellington website.
