TCF Tests


General Information

This diploma is intended for non-native French speakers who wish to have their level of French certified against the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages for various personal, professional or academic reasons (e.g. admission into French universities).
This exam fulfils French language entry requirements and can be used to demonstrate language ability for French or Quebec immigration procedures, for job applications, university enrolments or personal use.

  • The test is like a snapshot of a person’s linguistic abilities at a given point in their life
  • Use a scale of 6 levels that range from A1 level (beginner) to C2 (complete control)
  • It is valid for two years

You wish to assess your French language skills for personal, academic or professional reasons. You need to prove your level of French as part of your application for French Citizenship. You wish to settle long-term in Canada and you need to have your level of French assessed for your immigration application. Enrolment process

  1. Fill in the TCF registration form below.
  2. Provide a copy of ID and one passport photo (digital format accepted). Please find some information about the picture you must provide here.
  3. Send everything by email to alliance@french.co.nz (or bring all the documents to our office).
  4. An invoice will be sent to you via email, make your payment via internet banking or come to our office before the enrolment deadline.
